Microsoft sends cease and desist letters to websites that offer Microsoft patches and updates. So, people are allowed to have the updates, but if they don't get them directly from Microsoft, they're not allowed to have them.
So, you create a problem for your consumers, then you fix the problem and off the fix for free, but when anyone else tries to give away the same free software that you give away, they aren't allowed to do that.
Nokia enters the fray, challenging Apple's iTunes with a music store and music, games and maps downloads!

Well, there's a little bad and a little good in all of us, isn't there? And after announcing free recycling for consumer electronics, didn't it figure something bad had to follow?
Sony admits to installing Rootkits as part of its fingerprint reader. So, you got to pay for a fingerprint reader that secured your computer from everyone except the people who sold you the fingerprint reader. Nice.

And I say, why not? If you already know they are terrorists, then what rights should you afford them? None, that's what rights, zip, zero, nada! (Don't let faith in the State keep you; many of us over here in the US have lost faith in our government but you don't see that stopping George W. from tapping everything with a wire on it, do you?)
