A Mr. Jimmy Wales, the man behind Wikipedia, is developing a new search engine based on his Wiki search technology, due out next year. Amazon is on board for the new search engine, touted to challenge the standings of Google (yeah, right) and Yahoo (doable indeed!).

I use Google for search exclusively. Frankly, I think the new search engine would have to blow Google away for anyone to notice. People are locked in to Google and and it will take at least--at least according to dynamic theory--an equal and opposite reaction to pull them away.

Now, about some news of greater importance to me and anyone with blogs supported by old blogger: new blogger doesn't appear to support shifting your current blog to the new platform. The new platform supports setting up new blogs and you are directed back to old blogger to access and add to your existing blogs.

This will not sit well with bloggers who use blogger, Blogger!
