Two points to be made. One: Yes, Nintendo is overdoing it by offering replacement Wii wrist straps (if you haven't heard, the Wii remotes are reportedly doing physical damage when people lose their grip and/or the straps break).
Two: The journalist who wrote this has almost exactly the same sense of humor I have. If you're out there, oh, hiring editors of journalists who report the news and write comic relief at the same time, look no further.
