Welcome!
Google has few embarrassments. It's latest - a Google attorney's public insistance that google not be used as a verb after Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary followed suit with the rest of the world in proclaiming it just that (see title link).
Is Google stronger than the customers who give it life? If so, then it should be successful at biting the hand that feeds it and enforcing its new rule without losing a single customer. If not, will Google apologize or simply pray that the matter dies down quietly?
Well, aren't we all waiting to see. Meantime, Yahoo is also a two-syllable search engine; too bad Yahooing doesn't roll off the tongue as easily as ... as ...
You see, Google, you have put yourself in a position where those who give you life by their patronage will either be put off or laugh at you, not taking you seriously - neither of which can be good for business.
BTW, where's your stock price at on word of this news?
Best,
