I just came upon something cool. If you don't use the Firefox Web browser, an alternative to Internet Explorer for Web surfing, get it. If you use Firefox, update to version 1.5:
http://www.mozilla.org (and click on the Firefox or "New Home" link).

Once you're with me at v1.5, surf to https://addons.mozilla.org/extensions/moreinfo.php?id=1269&application=firefox and install Fasterfox.

Close and reopen your browser and be ready for an awakening, a speed trip. This enhancement significantly speeds Web surfing whether you use a hi-speed Internet connection or dial-up.
